Aim

The aim of the Code of Conduct is to encourage learners to show exemplary conduct and to foster moral principles.

Responsibility

Learners will be made aware of their responsibilities towards friends, teachers, school property, own property, adults and parents. It implies accepting punitive measures for not adhering to the rules of conduct.

Code of Conduct

George Preparatory School believes that the foundation of discipline is respect. Our school supports the principles of fair discipline and the consistent application of appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary. The procedure and code for learners represent the standards of behaviour expected of all learners and encourages a responsible and self-disciplined mind-set amongst pupils.
The code of conduct is in place to enhance and extend our school’s mission statement and philosophy and to ensure the smooth running of the school in an environment that benefits all parties.

It is the objective of our school to preserve high morals and to maintain a standard of conduct that is acceptable to the broad community. The code is intended to build a community that is self-disciplined, hard-working, morally upright and respectful of one another. It defines what is meant by acceptable and unacceptable behaviour and describes the steps which will be taken in the event of a learner overstepping the limits. The code will be reviewed and amended as appropriate on an annual basis.
George Preparatory School’s learners and staff are expected to show consideration for others, to be honest and conduct themselves in a way which brings credit to themselves, their families and the school.
