Bigger, better… Beebot!
Technology plays a major part in modern-day life, therefore George Preparatory School has a fully equipped computer lab with 30 workstations. All the classes go to the centre on a rotational basis every week for 30 minutes. We have invested in quality educational software to offer learning support. Every learner also gets a CAMIWEB username and password to gain access to this software at home.
Robotics and Coding are the new buzz words of the future school curriculum and yes, the Beebots have joined the Preparatory School family!
The floor of the computer lab has been changed and made into big coding blocks to learn the basic steps. We added the Beebots and learners can code them according to pre-set goals. The computer lab is now exploding with fun and excitement. Even on Grade R level we start learning basic patterns and coding.
More Beebots will join the family soon and in the next year or two Bluebots will follow. The Beebots are not computer lab bound and can be used by the teachers in the classrooms for a variety of activities. Code Monkey will also join the coding package in the near future.
